OOTD | Gangaur Puja | My Engagement Lehenga

hello beautiful girls ! how are you all ? These summers are taking breath away ! very hot in Delhi but Still we all try to rock with our posts ! Stay tuned.

Today I am Sharing my Gangaur Puja outfit but first of all , let me tell you about Gangaur Puja.

Gangaur (गणगौर) is celebrated mainly in North Indian states especially in Rajasthan and some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Gujarat.

The festival is the celebration of monsoon, harvest and martial fidelity. Women worship Gauri, the consort of Lord Shiva
The word ‘Gangaur’ is literally made up of two words, ‘Gana’ and ‘Gaur’. ‘Gana’ is synonymous with Lord Shiva and ‘Gaur’ which stands for Gauri or Parvati symbolizes Saubhagya (marital bliss). Gauri is the personification of excellence and marital love.

The unmarried women worship Gauri for blessing them with good husband, while married women do so for the welfare, health and longevity of their husbands and cheerful married life.

So  I did puja on Gangaur and wore my Engagement lehenga on this occassion. As my mom says, this day, one woman should do full shringaar :D and so i did. :P

OOTD | Navratri Special | Red Salwar Suit | Golden Adornments

hello girls :) how are you all ? :)  hope you all rocking the summers with your outfits and makeup. Here In delhi Navratra is going on. Let me tell you about Navratra.

Chaitra Navratri is nine days festivity which starts on the first day of Hindu Luni-Solar calendar and falls in the month of March or April. All nine days during Navratri are dedicated to nine forms of Goddess Shakti. Most customs and rituals followed during Shardiya Navratri, which falls in the month of September or October, are also followed during Chaitra Navratri. Ghatasthapana Puja Vidhi for Shardiya Navratri and Chaitra Navratri is same.

So I have puja at my home and I wore my Red & Golden Cotton suit with heavy dupatta. With this ethnic, I combine my adornments like Golden mango shaped kundan earings with flower shaped kundan ring.

Also, According to the Hindu rituals, its necessary to wear chuda on the puja. So i wore complete chuda on that day with my Red Glass bangles.

Lets have a look.

Again, I am not so makeupholic, I use Sugar Twist & Shout kajal (Black velvet) which i have already reviewed here for my eye makeup with Maybilline HyperLine Sharp Liner.

For Lip, I used Oriflame Red Cashmere soft Lipstick( will review it soon) And its done.

 Styling with my dupatta :

different stoles were for pashmina shawls, the variety of suits, variety of andronments, Indian local handicrafts and many more things. Lets have a look ahead for pictures, I have taken there.

Our country has so many beautiful traditional things that we cant leave them to see. So girls, If you like the place n pictures then you can also visit this place. Believe me , you will love it.

Location : Neareast Metro Station INA (NewDelhi, India)
Timing: 11 A.m to 9 P.m
Tickets Fee : 20 Rs/- for Adults and Rs 10/- for Children

Now its my turn to explain my Outfit of the day(OOTD)

My Adornments:

I wore the Red n Black Jhumkas which i bought from C.P (Delhi local traditional market) and Red Moti Mala (its my favorite) also bought from C.P.

I always love to wear my REd chuda for ethnic dress. And so I make small set of them. See picture.

My Outfit

For the place like dilli haat(traditional), I chose my Long ethnic skirt with global desi top. Many people after seeing my pics asked me that i have made the plan to dressed up with matching?

I simply say No. Actually The place n my outfit was so compliment with each other that everybody was amazed.

I tool my ethnic sling bag which i bought from an Online store.

My Make Up : I always love simple make-up but it should be sharp. If your make-up is sharp, then you features looks very beautiful specially for Indian skin tone. This is the reason, I took large Red Bindi for me with dark eyemakeup. I used  Sugar Twist & Shout kajal (Black velvet) which i have already reviewed here.

For Lip, I used Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick, Hot Hot Hot , 4.2g And Its done.

Hope you like my post.

Love you guys ! see you soon.
